I use a wide range of techniques in my work using both heat fixed paints and steam fixed dyes depending on the finished effects I hope to achieve.  With silk painting you have to accept that the colours work their own magic and so go with the flow.  There is always an element of surprise too (or sometimes disappointment) when after steam setting a piece hasn't worked out as I had hoped.  

Many of the pictures are mounted onto canvas blocks.  These makes them easy to transport by courier and they can be framed at a later date.
